We booked this catamaran tour somewhat spontaneously and it turned out to be one of our favourite outings in Madeira. The sea was calm, the weather perfect, and the dolphins circled the boat for minutes. The narrative from the guide made it educational as well as fun. Don’t forget a wind‑breaker for the upper deck!

From the moment we boarded the catamaran at the harbour in Funchal, it was clear we were in for something special. The crew were warm and attentive, the boat super comfortable, and within minutes we encountered a lively pod of dolphins playing in the surf. Then we spotted a group of pilot whales gliding nearby. The commentary was informative (we learned so much about the local species) and the setting—Madeira’s west coast cliffs shimmering in the sunlight—was breathtaking. A highlight of our holiday!

What a fantastic morning out on the catamaran! The crew were friendly, informative and made everyone feel at ease. We spotted a pod of dolphins quite early on and later a few pilot whales. The sea was thankfully calm and the boat had plenty of deck space. Would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in Madeira.
