For someone who doesn’t rent a car, the 2‑in‑1 Yellow Bus hop‑on hop‑off is a smart move in Madeira. It got us to places we might not have seen otherwise, at a pace that wasn’t frantic. We hopped off at the market in Funchal, then again at the viewpoint above the city. Very enjoyable.

We felt the tour offered more than just a bus ride — the stops are good, the route scenic, and the unlimited hops give you freedom. We used the Yellow Bus pass to do a full loop, then picked one place to stay longer for lunch and photos. Would do again.

What a brilliant way to get my bearings in Madeira. We used the 24‑hour 2‑in‑1 pass covering both Funchal and Câmara de Lobos, and the hop‑on/hop‑off system let us explore at our own pace. The views from the upper deck were gorgeous, the commentary was available in our language and the drivers were friendly and helpful — definitely worth it.

We were only in Madeira for 24 hours and chose the Yellow Bus tour to maximise our time. It didn’t disappoint — clean bus, clear commentary, plenty of stops. The top deck views were especially useful for spotting landmarks and orienting ourselves. Good choice.

Travelling with our two children, the open‑top deck of the Yellow Bus was fun, and we appreciated that the bus route took us up into the hills around Funchal with sweeping views of coast and cliffs. It gave us time to explore without stressing about how to get back.

This was the perfect mix of convenience and sightseeing. We were able to get off near the farmers’ market, explore for a bit, then ride up to the hills for some incredible views over Funchal. Loved it!
