We only had one full day, so the 24‑hour 2‑in‑1 ticket was perfect. The route took us from downtown Funchal through the charming fishing village of Câmara de Lobos, with plenty of stops. We hopped off where we liked, had lunch, then re‑boarded. The bonus audio guide in many languages made it even better.
My partner and I used the Yellow Bus tour as our first thing in Madeira to get oriented. The audio commentary in English was pretty good, the stops were well‑placed, and we liked that we could hop off, explore a little, then hop back on. Great flexibility for one day.
Our tip: start at the first bus around 9:30 am to make the most of the 24 h window, and head straight to Câmara de Lobos before it gets busy. We found fewer people there in the morning and the light was better for photos. The bus back via the coast was relaxing and scenic.
El tour Yellow Bus Hop-On Hop-Off fue la mejor manera de explorar Madeira en solo un día! Travelling with our two children, the open‑top deck of the Yellow Bus was fun, and we appreciated that the bus route took us up into the hills around Funchal with sweeping views of coast and cliffs. It gave us time to explore without stressing about how to get back.
