We only had one full day, so the 24‑hour 2‑in‑1 ticket was perfect. The route took us from downtown Funchal through the charming fishing village of Câmara de Lobos, with plenty of stops. We hopped off where we liked, had lunch, then re‑boarded. The bonus audio guide in many languages made it even better.

Travelling with our two children, the open‑top deck of the Yellow Bus was fun, and we appreciated that the bus route took us up into the hills around Funchal with sweeping views of coast and cliffs. It gave us time to explore without stressing about how to get back.

What a brilliant way to get my bearings in Madeira. We used the 24‑hour 2‑in‑1 pass covering both Funchal and Câmara de Lobos, and the hop‑on/hop‑off system let us explore at our own pace.
