Avec une vue magnifique, ce travail a la particularité de se connecter deux des plus hauts sommets de l'île de Madère, Pico Ruivo (1862m) et Pico do Arieiro (1818m), de voyager à telle partie de la zone Massif Central des montagnes. Cette route sera très inégale, de sorte qu'un effort physique sera nécessaire. Parmi quelques hauts et des bas, surtout atteindre le sommet rouge où il ya une montée raide sur des centaines de marches taillées dans la roche et la descente méticuleuse. Ceci est un sentier adapté pour les amateurs de flore et la faune et les défis physiques. Difficulté: Dure Distance: 12km Durée: 04:30H

The walk was certainly one of the highlights of the holiday. It was difficult with so many steps, both up and down, but with a reasonable level of fitness most could do it. I'm also not great with heights but didn't feel uncomfortable at all during the more precipitous parts due to the rope and cable barriers. Our guide was local and his English was limited. We had to listen carefully to understand what was said. Me (51) and my 21 year old daughter enjoyed the walk because of the stunning views which were a constant throughout the whole walk, but it was very busy (in July) and those going contraflow had to wait a long time to navigate the single-file sections, of which there were many. I felt we could have done with longer breaks as we didn't really have the chance to stop for a decent lunch. Oh and remember 50cent for the toilets and expect to wait a long time in the queue:-)
