Portela Bike Tour – Fajã dos Rolos
We begin our tour at Fajã dos Rolos in Machico, and bike through laurel- and eukalyptus forest. From here you can see the highest mountains of Madeira and on the horizon the neighbouring island of Porto Santo. We continue to the viewpoint of Portela, which offers a great view of the little towns on the north coast of Madeira. We cycle along the Levada da Serra to Camacha, which is wellknown for its wicker baskets, and back to Caniço de Baixo.
