The tour begins in Câmara de Lobos, the picturesque fishing village that inspired Winston Churchill. We then head to the impressive Cabo Girão (entrance not included), one of Europe’s highest sea cliffs, offering panoramic views over the ocean and Madeira’s southern coastline, before making a short stop in the charming village of Ribeira Brava. The adventure continues to the magical Fanal Forest, where centuries-old trees shrouded in mist create a truly fairytale-like setting. Next, we visit the highlight of the tour, Porto Moniz, famous for its natural volcanic swimming pools and the spectacular scenery of Madeira’s northern coast. On the way back, we pass through Seixal to admire the iconic Véu da Noiva waterfall and finish in São Vicente, one of the island’s most traditional villages, nestled in a lush green valley. The tour guide Eduardo was amazing he told us so many facts about on our journey between the stop offs. His knowledge of all the flowers is impressive. We learnt so many things that you just wouldn’t going to the places yourself about Madeira life. Eduardo was smartly dressed and spoke three languages so he engaged with everyone on the tour, we also had enough time at each stop off and guidance on what to do. Excellent! Would definitely recommend this tour.

What a stunning day out exploring the west of Madeira. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, we stopped at the skywalk at Cabo Girão (eye‑opening views), walked a little in Paúl da Serra and then had time to relax in the natural pools of Porto Moniz. The pace felt just right – not rushed.
To make the most of the excursion, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and practical footwear for short walks. Don't forget to bring sunscreen, a towel, and a swimsuit if the activity includes stops at beaches. Also, it's important to bring water to stay hydrated throughout the trip.
