Trompica Easy Madeira Trail Tour

This Easy Madeira Trail Tour track begins at Boca da Corrida viewpoint in the parish of Jardim da Serra, where we can view in the distance the highest peaks of the island and in the valley the picturesque village of Curral das Freiras surrounded by mountains.

This Easy Madeira Trail Tour track begins at Boca da Corrida viewpoint in the parish of Jardim da Serra, where we can view in the distance the highest peaks of the island and in the valley the picturesque village of Curral das Freiras surrounded by mountains. The progression the trail is initially by a dirt road around the mountains, passing through Montado dos Aviceiros and entering ahead in a single track till the Trompica florestal house.

Next to the Trompica florestal house the goes again in the dirt roads to Fonte dos Burros from where you can observe the Serra D’Água and Encumeada from above, and all the mountains around them. A little more far away we can see a part of Paúl da Serra and its wind farm. Returning by the same way in one of the crossroads we climb on a dirt road where we can come across some cows usually graze the site. After arriving the highest point, we continue on a trail toward the initial dirt road and go until get back to
Boca da Corrida.
