There are not many mountain peaks that you can reach by car. But, 1818 meters Pico do Arieiro, the third highest peak in Madeira, is one of the few rare. Hop on a Land Rover 4x4 from the hotel and we'll take you above the clouds to see the sunrise. Plunging back under the clouds, you will notice that the mountains are covered with lush vegetation, including heather, moss and the impressive purple Echium candicans, known as the pride of Madeira. As a hot cup of coffee in hand gives life to a toast before returning to the land rover. The adventure will continue, on the''off road`` by the royal ways.
