Next, you'll venture to the Eira do Serrado viewpoint, nestled at a dramatic 1,095 meters above sea level. This spot offers stunning vistas of the Nuns Valley and the charming village of Curral das Freiras, located nearly 500 meters below. Surrounded by Madeira's central mountain range, the scenery here is almost cinematic, providing a truly unforgettable backdrop.
You’ll have the choice to either explore the village by driving through a mountain tunnel or return to Funchal and make an additional stop at another viewpoint. As you journey from the coastal and urban landscapes of Funchal to the lush, dramatic mountains, you’ll experience a fascinating array of scenery and climate changes.
