Hop aboard the catamaran, and choose between the luxurious interior with comfortable seating area and sun and wind protection or the outdoor sun beds and trampoline nets. Then, sit back, and relax as you sail out to sea and look back at the marina. Although marine life sightings aren’t guaranteed, dolphins and whales are often seen in the waters here. Watch out for them as you cruise. The crew is on hand to answer any questions about the variety of species. After spending some time spotting the sea life, the skipper will usually head west for Cabo Girão, a towering sea cliff that stands at 1,902 feet (580 meters) tall. While moored in the shadow of Cabo Girão, it’s time to take a dip. Explore the sea life below with your complimentary goggles and mask. The final part of the trip will focus on a leisurely cruise back to Funchal Marina, with the main sail blazing depending on the available time and weather conditions. The last leg of the journey home goes by the coastline, which allows everyone to view the Madeiran landscape, as well as the hotels built along the shoreline. All too soon the boat arrives back in the Marina for the quick disembarking process that allows everyone to continue with their holiday. Arrive at the Funchal Marina 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time. When the entire group has arrived and all questions are addressed, take a short walk to the waiting catamaran. Before everyone sets off to find their place on the boat, gather around for a short briefing about safety guidelines from your three experienced crew members.
