New Year’s Eve in Madeira on Sailing Yacht small group

We were a small group of 3 and sat towards the front of the boat. The positioning to see the fireworks was excellent and firework display was outstanding. We got took for a sail around Funchal to see the lights on the island and all the cruise ships before the main display. We were given a small safety briefing. We thoroughly enjoyed the event and agreed we'd do it again. The only reason for the drop in a star was due to the check in procedure being stressful. We were there within plenty of time but it wasn't clear where we needed to be on the harbour and once we managed to call and speak to someone on where to go, no one was there waiting as advised. In the end it took 4 phone calls, a series of WhatsApp messages and being in the right place at the right time to sneak through the gate as another member of the public opened the gate from the other side. All I think could have been avoided with a sign on a gate or a message beforehand.

The fireworks themselves were amazing & the boat was located well but the boat itself was not comfortable for everyone and this should be made clear when booking that there aren't seats for 20 people. The food and drinks that were served were extremely poor for the price paid and the food was only offered once & was all on a large platter where everyone had to use their fingers to pick up so not very hygienic!! The "champagne" was NOT champagne at all and was just very sweet horrible sparkling wine and poor quality. The service of drinks and the welcome onto the boat was very poor and we were not made to feel like a special occasion at all &I had to ask for the second drink ... the atmosphere from everyone on the boat was non existent as I feel everyone was disappointed with the whole thing overall. Not good value for money and I would like some kind of refund for the poor drinks/food and service so would appreciate you contacting me. I am a travel consultant and would definitely NOT recommend to my own clients. It is a shame as it could have been so much better with just a little effort.

Bonjour Le Feux de Artifice de Madère , c'est connue comme un des meilleurs au monde ,mais avec la prestations de service donné par votre opérateur laisse a désiré ! Le service de votre part c'est juste de la publicité mensongère ! Le voilier as juste 8 places assises ,les autres 12 vont se assoir par terre , pas très confortable A la arrivé il as pas un seul mot de sécurité ! sommes juste des numéros pour faire du profit ! service nul ! Je ne suis pas d'accord de payer 400€ pour deux billets et de ne pas avoir les memes conditions que les autres 8 personnes que on resté confortablement assises Pour cette raison je vous demande le remboursement de 50%du prix de mes billets Avec l'operateur See la vie c'est l'arnaque !!! plus jamais !
