We were a small group of 3 and sat towards the front of the boat. The positioning to see the fireworks was excellent and firework display was outstanding. We got took for a sail around Funchal to see the lights on the island and all the cruise ships before the main display. We were given a small safety briefing. We thoroughly enjoyed the event and agreed we'd do it again. The only reason for the drop in a star was due to the check in procedure being stressful. We were there within plenty of time but it wasn't clear where we needed to be on the harbour and once we managed to call and speak to someone on where to go, no one was there waiting as advised. In the end it took 4 phone calls, a series of WhatsApp messages and being in the right place at the right time to sneak through the gate as another member of the public opened the gate from the other side. All I think could have been avoided with a sign on a gate or a message beforehand.
