The Senhor dos Milagres Viewpoint (Lord of Miracles) is located in Machico just 60m above sea level. The Lord of Miracles is one of the religious celebrations with greater emphasis on Madeira and evokes the flood occurred in 1803, which ravaged the chapel where lay the image of the Lord of Miracles, which was dragged into the sea. The same appeared three days later and was delivered in Funchal Cathedral. He returned to his chapel, but rebuilt in 1813. This belvedere offers a unique view of the bay and valley of Machico.
