The Fajã dos Padres Viewpoint is located in the parish of Quinta Grande, perched on a cliff about 250 meters. This viewpoint provides a fantastic view of the Fajã dos Padres, fertile land area by the sea where you can bathe in the crystal-clear sea and enjoy delicious fish and seafood dishes at the local restaurant. This is where we find the panoramic elevator that gives access to Fajã. Lowering is in 4 minutes. It is called Fajã dos Padres to have belonged to the Jesuits. To them it is attributed the merit of introducing the malvasia wine, one of the varieties of so famous Madeira wine.
