Terreiro da Luta Viewpoint is located in the village of Monte. This viewpoint offers a beautiful view of the bay of Funchal. There is in this place a monument dedicated to Our Lady of Peace following a promise of Madeiran people during the bombing of Funchal by German submarines in 1917. The huge statue, carved in marble, is 5 meters high.
