The São Roque Chapel is located in Machico. This chapel is of baroque style and was built in 1489 by Tristan Vaz Teixeira to pay a promise that was granted to the end of the plague. The original chapel was demolished, and the one we can find there today was built in 1739, with the old tiles remaining.
