The Nazaré Church is one of the youngest churches of Funchal. Inaugurated in 2002, it is characterized by its innovative and modern lines. Of its interior are worth mentioning the steel door of 8 cm thick and a number of unique pieces designed by the architect John Walls: the Holy Water, the Baptismal Font, the tabernacle, the ambo and the altar, all carved in green marble (Guatemala).
