Caniço Church

The Caniço Church was built in 1783.

The Mother Church of Caniço, erected in 1783, represents a harmonious fusion between the Baroque and Rococo styles. Its architecture is distinctly marked by a smooth transition between these two styles, displaying a longitudinal plan and a single nave. The main façade, adorned with a pediment cornice, is imposing, highlighted by the stonework portal with a full arch, crowned by a large window displaying the royal arms.
