Fantastic service as usual and a fantastic scooter for comfort and performance. Certainly Madeira’s best thanks 😊 Just enjoyed another two weeks of freedom and comfort thanks to these amazing scooters. I go out every day from the Pestana Promenade into Funchal and around everywhere in town. Shopping sightseeing, seeing the lights and back and this amazing scooter still shows full charge after a long, long day out. The hardest part is people stopping me to ask where they can hire one from.! 👍Perhaps some business cards with the next hire would be helpful. I love the loud horn but still people say they didn’t hear it or recognise it as an alert. But then I guess they are on holiday and not thinking. 🥴The reverse alarm is loud but again people ignore it! But at least I feel safer knowing I am doing my best to warn people. The lights are great but I bought a Christmas lights flashing hat and that with the scooter lights got me home very safely on dark crowed pavements.
I love the scooter so much I just had to have one when I got home and searched till I found the same model. These certainly are the best scooters to hire. I have tried two cheaper hire companies and their scooters just didn’t have the same range, safety and reliability as Madeira Best. One comment was that they are expensive, well you get what you pay for and for me it’s range comfort and reliability. A loyalty discount program would be nice?🥰 But these certainly are the best scooters in Madeira.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic Service by Madeira Best. The scooter was delivered on time to the Hotel we were at to reception.. The scooter was excellent. We were located in a particularly hilly area of Funchal, Madeira and it did fantastic on the uphill and on some of the steep down hills. The seat is big and comfy with arm rests that go up and down depending on if you are getting in or getting out; the seat does swivel to the side as well to allow for more freedom to get in an out of the scooter. We never ran out of power wherever we took it. The neck that attaches to the handle bars also can be adjusted closer into your body so that you don't have to lean forward in your chair to be comfortable. There is a night light on the scooter as well as brake lights so that it can be seen at night. The beeping sound it makes when you back up is really loud - wish there was an adjustment to the loudness however; at least people know to get out of the way.. Very good scooter and good company to deal with.

I have used these people now for at least three visits to Madeira . I have always received excellent service from them . Scooter was always delivered to the Hotel in good time and collected as agreed .
The scooters are first rate but would suggest to be charged overnight each day in order to ensure a full charge . My only complaint during my visit not against Madeira Best but the Madeira authorities ! The pavements in Funchal are generally very bumpy so be warned and take care .

Excellent service. Thans to you your scooter I was able to visit lot of interest points in Funchal and nearby. Scooter had been delivered before my arrival, so there was no waste time to wit for delivery. I have similar machine at home – because of that I will not describe more technical details – shortly speaking scooter is excellent on slopes like existing on Madeira. I would like to recommend you company to disabled people who are going to visit Madeira to choose your machines. Without it moving outside hotel is not possible.

A brilliant scooter (except for the horrid, loud beeping in reverse) - it tackles many of the steeper hills without any trouble and can go at both a walking speed and far more quickly without a problem. Controls are easy and the seat is huge and very comfortable. I really enjoyed using it and would do so again though there was one issue. It arrived at my hotel promptly and the deliverer was pleasant - however - he said that the range was about 50Km - this was clearly not so as we twice walked at a slow pace in and out of Funchal and I was say that 12Km is the furthest range for this scooter.
A more worrying issue was that we could not get hold of anyone on the phone to arrange pickup. The hotel phoned over a period of two complete weekdays - and nothing - no-one picked up - so I wonder what would have happened if we had broken down - what would we have done - a scooter is a very heavy piece of equipment!
Nonetheless, it was a pleasure to use in general and I would hire it for my next sojourn in Madeira.
