First tour we have ever done and it was great! Driver was great and informative. Some of the views couldn't be seen due to weather but still definitely worth the trip!
The guide,Elton,was fantastic with in-depth knowledge of the nature around us,the history of Madeira and the levadas,and pretty much everything else.Enjoyed the tour from start to finish!!Highly recommendable!
One tip: start early. We caught the first bus around 9:30 am, got ahead of crowds, and used the pass to return later when things were quieter. The Yellow Bus route covered just the right mix of city + coast + hillside for our one‑day stay. Friendly drivers, too.

For someone who doesn’t rent a car, the 2‑in‑1 Yellow Bus hop‑on hop‑off is a smart move in Madeira. It got us to places we might not have seen otherwise, at a pace that wasn’t frantic. We hopped off at the market in Funchal, then again at the viewpoint above the city. Very enjoyable.
