This palace is a harmonious example of late eighteenth century architecture, which contains an interior courtyard garden, coated Batisttini tile and executed in Maria de Portugal factory in 1940 as well, a fountain decorated with a statue in marble “Leda and the Swan”, work of Germano José Salles.

The historic building of Funchal City Hall opens its doors to the public through tours which are held on weekdays at 11 am, with a duration of 60 minutes and are conducted in several languages
